Omar Abdel Ghaffar joined Orascom Housing Communities (OHC) in 2007 and has assisted with the overall setup of the company where he now holds the position of Operations Director. On a daily basis, Abdel Ghaffar works to develop Key Performance Indicator (KPI) processes to ensure business objectives are achieved, supports product designs for new phases, and manages inventory of units and rentals. He works closely with government entities and mortgage finance organizations to help identify opportunities in support of the company’s growth. Heading the company’s overall operations Omar is also responsible in setting up all new projects locally and regionally.
Abdel Ghaffar has 7 years of professional experience working on the business development of diverse projects within the Egyptian and foreign market. Prior to joining OHC, he spent two years with the Kuwait Controls Company in Dubai a major infrastructure contractor for Dubai Municipality, where he held the position of Development Manager. During this time, Abdel Ghaffar was able to optimize processes, coordinate and review periodic finances, negotiate contracts and restructure internal policies and procedures to ensure quality improvements whilst controlling costs.
From 2004 to 2005 Abdel Ghaffar worked as the Regional Business Developer for International Operations in Forbes Marshal energy conservation experts in India. Prior to graduating, he participated in a number of internships with large multinationals including Danone and Henkel.
Abdel Ghaffar graduated from Concordia University, Canada in 2004 and holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering.
